Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary course eligibility evaluations to assess remediation feasibility, including content volume, multimedia requirements, and timeline constraints
• Remediate Canvas course content to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, including headings, images, links, tables, color contrast, and content structure
• Ensure multimedia accessibility by verifying captions, transcripts, audio descriptions, and proper content controls are in place
• Review and assess accessibility of course documents (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and third-party tools, providing recommendations for improvement
• Generate detailed Course Eligibility Reports and Final Course Remediation Reports with actionable recommendations and resources
• Test remediated content using screen readers and accessibility tools to verify compliance and quality standards

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma
• 1-2 years of experience with web accessibility standards and remediation.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience working with Learning Management Systems, preferably Canvas
• Strong working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria and techniques
• Proficiency in HTML and understanding of semantic markup
