Position: Testing Specialist Technology

Type of Position: Full-time Hourly
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule, Hours per week: 40 hours/ 5 days a week
Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No
Starting Salary Range: $18.22-$23.31 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.
Position Summary: Provide technology support to all areas within the department as well as facilitating and maintaining online testing programs and accommodated exams. Proctor, administer, and process accurate and secure exams within a team environment that involves extensive one-on-one interaction and engagement with students, faculty, staff, and community members while complying with applicable government, corporate, academic, and department mandates.
Required Qualifications:
- Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline.
- Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment.
- Requires an Associate's Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Address and troubleshoot computer issues through effective problem-solving methods and help maintain software for student computers in the testing lab.
- Assist with the maintenance of the testing equipment and ensure testing environment is optimal for testers.
- Use the testing management system to administer secure testing materials.
- Proctor exams in a testing lab or virtually to maintain a secure and accessible testing environment, monitor, collect, and secure testing materials, complete required processes, and address any issues.
- Proctor accommodated exams for students with disabilities as outlined by the approved Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) testing accommodations, and maintain a secure, accessible, and confidential testing environment.
- Maintain compliance and required certifications set by federal/state mandates and external testing companies.
- Ensure completed exams are returned to appropriate faculty or external testing organization.
- Engage, communicate, and collaborate with students, faculty, and community members, support an equitable learning environment, and serve as the initial point of contact for individuals who require course, standardized, or placement testing.
