"The Steven and Evelyn Milman Postdoctoral Fellowship"

The Cornell American Studies Program invites applicants for the Steven and Evelyn Milman Postdoctoral Fellowship. The focus of this postdoctoral fellowship will be the study of sports and U.S. cultures. The position starts August 16, 2026 and concludes August 15, 2027. Postdoctoral responsibilities will include the teaching of two undergraduate seminars as well as a public presentation on research conducted during the fellowship year. The successful fellow is expected to be in residence for the full academic year and to participate in American Studies events. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in Sociology, History, Media Studies, American Studies, Cultural Studies, Science and Technology Studies, Sports Studies and/or related fields. by August 1, 2026.
