Theories of Personality, Department of Applied Sciences - Adjunct Faculty
University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Fort Bliss, TX, in the Psychology program. Specifically, the following course(s):
Theories of Personality (PSYC 335):
A study of major theories and perspectives on personality. The goal is to explain and evaluate major concepts in personality. Topics include trait, psychodynamic, behavioral, and humanistic theories. Methods of personality research and relevant findings are also introduced.
Required Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Psychology or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Professional experience in Psychology or related field.
- Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
- This position is specifically to teach at Fort Bliss, TX.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Terminal degree in Psychology or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning

- Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.
- Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
- Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.
