Tire Test and Surface Technician
The Tire Test and Surface Technician is responsible for supporting testing on electrohydraulic test equipment for tire characterization through preparation of test specimens and surfaces. Position involves providing support and test plan execution, surface support, and maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High School, Trades School, associate's degree, desire to learn
- Ability to lift 50 pounds safely.
- Proficient use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals and sharp tools such as blades, scrapers, and cutters.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures precisely.
- Steel-toe shoes are required by OSHA in workplaces with hazards like falling/rolling heavy objects, sharp objects piercing the sole, electrical shock risks, or exposure to crushing/corrosive substances, common in construction, warehouses, and manufacturing, to protect feet from impact and compression. Protective footwear purchased after July 5, 1994 must comply with ANSI Z41.1-1991 "American National Standard for Personal Protection - Protective Footwear." Slip-resistant footwear assigned by the employer for specific workplace hazards must meet ASTM F1677. Reimbursement up to $125 for safety shoes provided for employees.
