Title IX Investigator
Title IX Investigator will assist in investigations, interviews, and hearings for allegations of university policies on Non-Discrimination and Non-Harassment, and Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Sexual Misconduct, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking and Retaliation. Title IX Investigator will correspond with possible complainants, respondents, and witnesses. Keeps abreast of all policy changes pertaining to discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual misconduct, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. Assist with development of and providing training on university policies on Non-Discrimination and Non-Harassment, and Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Sexual Misconduct, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence and Stalking to the campus community.
Examples of Duties
- Corresponds with and participates in pre-investigation contact with possible complainants.
- Conducts investigations for allegations of violations of university policies on Non-Discrimination and Non-Harassment, and Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Sexual Misconduct, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking and Retaliation.
- Assists with providing accommodations to complainants and respondents.
- Schedules and conducts interviews with complainants, respondents, and witnesses.
- Corresponds with all parties of investigations within guidelines established by university policy and procedures.
- Participates in and assists with post-investigation hearings and procedures established by university policies.
- Maintains confidential documents and files on investigations and interviews.
- Keeps abreast of all policy changes pertaining to discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual misconduct, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking.
- Assist with development of and providing training on university policies on Non-Discrimination and Non-Harassment, and Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Sexual Misconduct, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence and Stalking to the campus community.
- Performs other duties related to the position as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, required
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Title IX compliance program such as investigator, advisor, or panel member, or master's degree, or JD degree is preferred.
