- Compulsory-elective courses (Analytical Toxicology, Environmental Toxicology and Ecotoxicology) are set for a deeper specialization of the student within the focus of his dissertation and the student can choose them appropriately.

- A graduate of the doctoral study program Toxicology has detailed knowledge of toxic compounds, their effects and analysis. In particular, the graduate is able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the penetration of toxicologically important compounds into the organism, their molecular transformation, effect and excretion; demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive methods for toxicologically relevant compounds;
- understand environmental risks, the possibilities, conditions and limitations of different experimental methods; collect and evaluate toxicological data, including the results of their own experimental measurements. The graduate is able to work competently in a toxicological laboratory and responsibly assess risks.
- The acquired knowledge, experience and skills will allow the graduate to enter practice directly to positions where interdisciplinary toxicological education is needed.

- A condition for admission to a doctoral degree programme is the completion of studies in a Master's or follow-up Master's degree programme in the field of natural sciences or medicine and the successful completion of the admission procedure.
- The applicant will prepare a brief project (about 2 standard pages) concerning the topic of the dissertation for which he/she is applying and substantiate his/her previous professional experience and publication activities.
- The topics are listed in advance and approved by the programme doctoral board. The admission interview will verify the level of knowledge and theoretical knowledge of the applicant together with his/her prerequisites for independent creative professional activity. Part of the interview will also be a verification of spoken or written English.
