TrainND Sales Manager

Reporting Relationship
Is directly accountable and responsible to the Dean of Continuing Education (CE).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the sales development and administration of learning and performance programs and value-added services for business and industry in the SW region of ND.
- Responsible for providing training and development consulting services to business and industry.
- Responsible for the planning, contributing to curriculum development, recruitment of qualified trainers and management of non-credit continuing education programs for workforce development and career pathways.
- Responsible for welding training programs and maintenance and booking of welding trailers.
- Create and maintain business relationships with current and potential clients, including researching leads, identifying sales opportunities, and closing contracts.
- Develops, sells, and administers performance programs for business and industry, including customized proposals, program design, and negotiation of contracts.
- Provides learning and performance consulting services, such as conducting needs assessments and recommending solutions.
- Administrative duties include collaborating with the CE Operations team, performing class preparation, and contributing to innovation.
Minimum Requirements
- Appropriate bachelor's degree (e.g., business, education, human resources).
- Three years of experience working with business and industry in a sales or consultative capacity.
- Ability to overcome rejections and manage multiple projects.
- Demonstrated experience in contract development, negotiation, customer service, and software skills.
- Knowledge of adult training and excellent communication skills.
- Travel is required (mostly in the SW region of ND).
Preferred Qualifications
- More than three years of directly related work experience.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in continuing education, data analysis, facilitation, and virtual training.
Physical Demands
Continuously: Use hands dexterously, talk or hear. Frequently: Stand, walk, or sit. Occasionally: Reach, stoop, climb, or lift up to 25 pounds.
Benefits
