Overview
The Transformational Leadership EdD program from the Long Island University (LIU) prepares educational leaders to transform learning communities; to create lasting school reform; to provide effective oversight of fiscal operations; to infuse new technologies into curricula; to empower teachers to collaborate and develop new ideas for excellence; to inspire lifelong learning among students and adults; to create standards for continuous improvement of diverse schools and communities; and to advance and produce research that contributes to the understanding of the complex process of education.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the Doctoral programme in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies at Long Island University (LIU) pursue careers as: superintendents, principals, senior-level administrators, curriculum developers, policy analysts, and educational consultants; work in a wide variety of settings, such as public and non-public schools, state departments of education, national and state professional organizations, special education service units and private corporations; and become professors and researchers in colleges and universities.
