Duties & Responsibilities:
The Department of Pathology at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor (commensurate with experience) with expertise in clinical pathology and transfusion medicine.
Clinical: Serve as Transfusion Medicine/Apheresis attending. Medical direction of blood bank related clinical services, as needed. Provide medical oversight to all medical, technical and regulatory processes and procedures, including quality assurance. Promote the use of safe and effective blood transfusion components and services throughout the medical center, working closely with clinicians in hematology, oncology, stem cell transplantation, neurology, obstetrics and cardiothoracic and trauma…
