Job Details

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing leadership in developing and implementing the University's overall financial strategy.
• Preparing, monitoring, and controlling the Annual Budget in line with the University's strategic goals.
• Ensuring compliance with national and international accounting standards, relevant laws, and University financial policies.
• Overseeing financial planning, resource mobilization, and risk management. Supervising all financial and accounting operations including audits, tax matters, and investment activities.
• Ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient utilization of University resources.
• Reporting regularly to the Vice Chancellor and the Board of Trustees on the financial status and forecasts.

Qualifications:

Postgraduate degree in any business discipline, preferably in Accounting or Finance or MBA with Accounting/ Finance concentration.

Minimum two first divisions/ classes in board/ university examinations of which at least one should be at the undergraduate/Master’s level or minimum CGPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) in above-mentioned examinations or equivalent. Proven experience in financial management, corporate governance, and administrative responsibilities, particularly in higher education institutions, will be considered an asset.

Experience:

Minimum 10 (ten) years of experience in teaching a business subject as a Professor in public/private universities or equivalent organizations.
