- Organization of facilities and refreshments for TRIO events
Coordinates website updates with webmasterClerical duties- Assist with scheduling student advising sessions, communication, and daily appointment reminders
- Reception-greet students in TRIO area, respond to questions, assist with area computers and printing
- Coordinate travel for staff and students
- Assists with hiring paperwork and processes payments for program, enters transaction and updates budget sheet.
Directs the activities of the work study student (or student worker)- Train and supervise student worker(s) to assist Program Assistant in file management, area maintenance, fill-in receptionist when the Program Assistant is out of the office and other duties as assigned by TRIO Director (based on availability).

Required Qualifications:Any combination of education, experience, and/or training that provides the applicant with the knowledge and skills to perform the job may be considered by the college.- Associates degree OR High school diploma OR equivalent with two years of clerical experience
- Two (2) years professional experience using a computer with word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs (software and cloud-based)
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Experience with record keeping, ideally with grant experience
- Experience working with first-generation, multi-cultural and/or traditionally underrepresented populations
- Experience with online databases and integrated software including Microsoft Office products
- Understanding of video conferencing software
- Experience with different social media platforms
- Evidence of customer-focused service, preferably with experience responding to faculty, student and community needs
- Evidence of use of discretion and confidentiality in the workplace

Conditions/Terms of EmploymentThis classified position is in a bargaining unit for which WPEA Higher Ed is the exclusive representative.
This position typically works 20 hours per week Monday-Friday. Work is performed almost exclusively indoors in an office environment. General office and computer equipment will be used daily. This front-line position interacts with the public regularly, as well with other departments such as: Financial Aid, Admissions, Student Success (Advising and Counseling/WES), Foundation, Administration, Business Services, Library, IT and Institutional Research to fulfill duties and tasks as needed. Environment can be fast-paced at times, especially during advising.

All full-time employees will automatically have 3% of taxable income deferred into the State of Washington Deferred Compensation Program (DCP) unless declined at time of hire.
