Your next career opportunity
As a Tutor in the School, you will deliver tutorials, seminars and assessments while supporting course development under Level B supervision. You will gain practical teaching and assessment experience, enhance your curriculum skills, and contribute to an internationally recognised centre for language research and learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver Teaching and Assessment: Prepare and conduct tutorials, seminars and lectures; design assessments and undertake marking with constructive feedback.
- Develop Course Materials: Support the development and adaptation of subject content to meet the needs of a diverse student cohort.
- Administrative and Service Activities: Undertake administrative duties, attend meetings and actively participate in committees and school forums as required.
- Professional Engagement and Supervision: Contribute professional expertise to the school and work collaboratively under the guidance of Level B and above academics.

You are a student‑centred educator who can independently prepare and deliver teaching, design assessments, provide clear feedback, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary academic team.
You can contribute to teaching and assessment in two or more of the following areas: Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, English as a Second Language.
You may also:
- Be experienced in preparing assessments and conducting timely, constructive marking.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be adaptable and skilled at meeting the needs of diverse student cohorts.
- Be able to contribute to course materials and support curriculum implementation.
- Be organised, reliable and willing to participate in administrative activities and committees.
