Undergraduate/Graduate Services Administrator
Job Summary
The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Eastern Washington University is seeking applicants for an Undergraduate/Graduate Services Administrator. This position provides oversight and coordination for undergraduate and graduate retention and recruitment activities within the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS). It reports to the Associate Dean and supports the Dean, Associate Dean, Director of Finance and Administrative Services, and the College Executive Assistant. The role serves as a resource for developing integrated marketing retention and recruitment plans, working closely with other administrators, advisors, and on community outreach efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (years of higher ed student support experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis).
- Knowledge and/or experience working in higher education.
- Experience in event support and social media maintenance.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in computer technology and software, including MS Office Suite (advanced Excel) and Google Suite.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, including managing multiple projects.
- Must have transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach supportive of the needs of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Familiarity with EWU general education requirements, CAHSS programs, and coursework.

Job Duties
Retention (40% of Time)
- Assist in developing and implementing the retention and student services plan; review and adjust as necessary.
- Collect and analyze data on enrollment numbers and trends in student retention.
- Assist with programs such as Global Student Services, College in the High School, and Running Start.
- Work with key personnel to develop and implement marketing and retention plans.
- Coordinate and assist in implementing the mission and goals of the CAHSS Student Advisory Board.
- Support advising and retention programs including Early Warning System, DegreeWorks, minor Navigate assistance, probation, and reinstatement.
- Assist with CAHSS peer mentoring programs.
- Respond to day-to-day issues for students majoring in CAHSS programs and be familiar with university resources like financial aid, records, tutorials, accommodations, career services, and health/wellness.
- Develop relationships with campus entities relevant to student success.
- Develop and implement strategies to build student relationships and community.
- Work with student clubs and organizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Recruitment (40% of Time)
- Schedule recruitment, admission, and advertisement meetings/workshops.
- Work with EWU Office of Admissions on meetings and events with high school counselors and community colleges.
- Assist with recruitment events.
- Lead coordinator of New Student Orientation events, Admitted Student Days, and other events for prospective or incoming students.
- Co-direct the work of CAHSS student employees.
- Coordinate and implement the mission and goals of the CAHSS Student Ambassador program.
- Lead selection of branded promotional materials for recruitment events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other (20% of Time)
- Provide periodic project support to Dean, Associate Dean(s), and Dean Staff.
- Assist in marketing the College by maintaining the college website, social media sites, and annual report.
- Assist with events including Commencement, Retreats, Student Award Ceremony, and College Speaker Series.
- Other duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment
This position involves receipt of university funds and unsupervised access to vulnerable populations. Offer is contingent on passing a background check and compliance with immunization policy. This is a covered position under the Public School Employees’ of Washington Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Salary Information
The salary range is $54,575 to $65,492, depending on education, experience, and skills. Benefits include health insurance, retirement, vacation, sick leave, and tuition waiver.
