Organic Unit: Technology Transfer Coordination
Scholarship Theme: Launching and developing initiatives within the various areas of operation of IST’s Technology Transfer Directorate (DTT).
Duration: 12 months

Objectives
The main objective of this grant is to support the launch and development of actions within the scope of the Technology Transfer Office (DTT) of IST, as well as those involved in knowledge valorisation processes, through dissemination, communication, and development of activities across DTT’s various initiatives (Career Center, Corporate Partnerships, Alumni, Intellectual Property, Entrepreneurship).
This grant offers the fellows the opportunity to engage in scientific activity and learning within the various areas of intervention of the TTO. Given that these are multidisciplinary fields, they require knowledge from diverse areas, contributing significantly to the fellow's future professional career. Additionally, it offers experience in teamwork, the enhancement of communication skills, a sense of responsibility, initiative, and innovation.
Work Plan
- Development of the activity and communication plan for the Technology Transfer Office, focused primarily, but not exclusively, on the student community across all levels of education;
- Support in defining, implementing, and disseminating the processes (activities, events, initiatives, data collection and processing) of the Technology Transfer Office and its respective target audiences;
- Preparation of the final report.

Selection process
Contest Evaluation Method(s)
Curricular evaluation weighted to 50% on a scale of 20 points with a minimum of 16 points needed for admission.
Motivação weighted to 50% on a scale of 20 points with a minimum of 16 points needed for admission.
The minimum final grade needed for admission is 16 points.
Conditions for the Contest Evaluation
The selection methods to be used will be as follows:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) Evaluation, weighted at 50% on a 20-point scale, with a minimum score of 16 points required for admission. Previous experience in activities similar to those to be performed, as well as skills relevant to the role, will be valued;
- Motivation, weighted at 50% on a 20-point scale, with a minimum score of 16 points required for admission. This component will take into account the Motivation Letter (accounting for half of this component's score) and, if applicable, an interview (accounting for the other half of this component's score).
The motivation letter must be written in Portuguese and addressed to the Selection Committee. It should clearly state the reasons for the application and must mandatorily detail any parallel activities in which the applicant is currently involved, as well as the total number of ECTS credits planned for enrollment in the 2026/27 academic semesters.
Only candidates with a minimum score of 16 points out of 20 in the curricular evaluation will be selected for the interview. The interview will be conducted in Portuguese and will address the information provided by the candidates in their application, namely their motivation and previous experience, as well as the assessment of relevant skills for the position and the candidate's availability. Other complementary methods to the interview may be used, such as presentation exercises or group dynamics.
Minimum overall score required for admission: 16 points.
