Job Summary

The Department of Economics at CU Boulder welcomes applications for the Undergraduate Program Professional Position! This role is vital to the overall health of the academic operations of the department and is responsible for ensuring that these operations run smoothly and that operational decisions are data-informed. The individual in this role is responsible for supporting undergraduate students academically and developmentally, while also guiding them through applied experiences in alignment with the College’s and Division’s vision that all SSCI students participate in an applied experience before graduation. This role also provides accurate, timely, and relevant analytic support to staff and faculty within the department to improve academic operations, including, but not limited to, course scheduling. This position uses initiative and professional judgment to create and build interdisciplinary relationships to improve student experience, including with other academic units, the Academic Advising Center, numerous units in the Division of Student Affairs, the Alumni Association, and various student organizations. This position designs and implements new ideas for programming, communication, and processes to maintain and improve undergraduate education in the department. Additionally, this includes collaborating with faculty, staff, and students to innovate strategies to enhance the opportunities, performance, retention, and graduation rates of students. The position serves as the clearinghouse for rule, policy, and program changes and is responsible for informing faculty, staff, and students of these changes, as well as developing strategies to implement those changes, and is responsible for incorporating student feedback into department operations and decisions.
