"Unit Clerical Associate (HS)-Surgery, Prep and Recovery 5:00am-3:30pm"

Scope of Position: Provides coordination of administrative support for SPR Unit operations at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical, department of Perioperative Services, so that optimal quality care can be delivered.

Position Summary: Works under the supervision of the SPR Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager and/or charge nurse and performs essential support functions; Assures accurate documentation is present for the presurgical patient to support clinical needs; provides support to physicians, clinicians, and customers; performs fiscal management, inventory/stock control, and documentation; serving as a liaison with other departments as well as performing chart reviews and record keeping.

Minimum Qualifications: For Hire: High School diploma or GED required: Minimum 6 months experience in customer service or a healthcare environment. Ability to work in multiple systems for assigned tasks, strong problem solving and customer service skills required. Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Able to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a busy environment required. Preferred: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using IHIS / Electronic Medical Record is highly desired.
