Job Duties:
- Perform routine molecular and cell biology experiments, including mammalian cell culture, gene knockdown/editing (siRNA, CRISPR), qPCR, Western blotting, and fluorescence or confocal microscopy
- Analysis of experimental data using standard statistical software, such as GraphPad Prism
- Application of basic computational tools for the analysis of transcriptomics - and multi-omics data
- Conducting scientific research related to cellular stress, metabolic regulation, and aging mechanisms
- Supervision, guidance, and mentoring of students
- Preparation and publication of scientific results in peer-reviewed journals
- Collaboration within interdisciplinary research teams
Your Qualifications:
- Completed Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular Medicine, or a related field
- Experience with techniques for investigating lipid metabolism and metabolic dysfunction
- Proficiency in routine molecular and cell biology techniques, including mammalian cell culture, gene knockdown/editing (siRNA, CRISPR), qPCR, Western blotting, and fluorescence or confocal microscopy
- Ability to analyze experimental data using standard statistical software, such as GraphPad Prism
- Basic knowledge of computational tools for transcriptomics and multi-omics data analysis
- At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal
- Strong English communication skills (B2), German level is not demanded but preferred
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a scientific team
- Experience in student supervision and mentoring
