The Institute for Labor and Social Law is one of Austria's leading teaching and research institutions dealing with key issues in Austrian and European labor and social law. Your personal sphere of influence:
As a university assistant prae doc, you will join the research team led by Univ.-Prof. MMag. Dr. Michaela Windisch-Graetz in the field of labor and social law. In addition to your independent research, you will take on tasks such as independently and supportively holding courses and exams, supervising students, and assisting with research, organizational, and administrative activities.
Your future tasks:
You will actively participate in research, teaching, and administration, which means:
- You will work on your dissertation and its completion; the conclusion of a dissertation agreement is expected within 12-18 months.
- You will independently hold courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.
- You will take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
- You will participate in organizational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures.
- You will be responsible for continuing and supporting international collaborations.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed master's/diploma degree in law
- Excellent knowledge of labor and social law (demonstrated, for example, by a relevant seminar paper or diploma/master's thesis) or related areas of law (in particular civil, European, and constitutional law)
- Particular interest in European labor and social law or the interfaces with other areas of law
- Initial experience in academic writing and research methods
- Institutional experience or experience as a student assistant in a law firm
- Experience in e-learning
- IT skills: MS Office
- Excellent German and English skills
- You are a team player with social and communication skills.

Fair salary: The base salary of EUR 3,714.80 (based on full-time employment) will increase if we can take your professional experience into account.
Contract duration: The contract duration for employment is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship will be automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not issue a non-renewal declaration within the first 12 months.
