About us
At UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience (ICN), we undertake world-leading research in human mind and brain, in both health and disease. We bring together researchers from different disciplines such as psychology, neurology and anatomy. The ICN is an integral part of UCL Neuroscience, which is one of the best neuroscience institutes in the world, ranked second in the world and first in Europe by ISI Essential Science Indicators. This position will be based in the Naturalistic Experience Group.
About the role
The post-holder will : assist in the designing, building and running of behavioural, functional neuroimaging and other cognitive neuroscience experiments with humans; record, assist and develop computational tools for the analysis of data; recruit and maintain a secure database of study participants; assist with administrative tasks relating to the management of the experiments and the research group.
About you
You must have an undergraduate degree in psychology, neuroscience or a related subject at First Class Honours (or equivalent for non-UK degrees), or undergraduate degree in another discipline and Master’s degree in a subject relevant to cognitive neuroscience with a grade of at least distinction (70%, or equivalent for non-UK degrees). You must have experience with: coding in both Matlab and Python; developing and implementing AI tools for data analysis; building and running online behavioural experiments in humans; performing preprocessing and data analysis in naturalistic fMRI data. You must have effective written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to both work in a team and independently. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from international applicants who will require Skilled Worker Visa as the post does not meet the salary threshold.
