About Quzhou University (QZU)

Quzhou University is located in the city of Quzhou in Zhejiang Province, a National Historic and Cultural City known as the Home of Southern Confucianism. The campus covers an area of 57.5 hectares with a total floor space of 238,200 square meters.

QZU consists of 7 colleges: College of Foreign Languages, College of Chemical and Material Engineering, College of Mechanical Engineering, College of Civil Engineering and Architecture, College of Electrical and Information Engineering, College of Business and College of Teacher Education. QZU offers 31 undergraduate programs, covering 7 disciplines including engineering, literature, science, education, art, management and economics. At present, QZU has about 10,000 full-time students.

About College of Foreign Languages

College of Foreign Languages now offers 2 undergraduate programs: English (normal or teacher) and Business English. College of Foreign Languages consists of English Department, Business English Department and College English Department. Currently, College of Foreign Languages has 831 full-time students and 61 full-time teachers.

We offer

• (1) Salary: RMB 14,000 before tax monthly for the first year for Master’s degree holders. RMB 16,000 before tax for PhD degree holders.
• (2) Housing: Option 1: a free fully-furnished apartment based in the university is provided; Option 2: a monthly RMB 1,000 rent subsidies is provided for renting an apartment off campus.
• (3) Travelling: One round-trip airplane ticket (economical class) back to hometown are provided yearly.
• (4) Holidays: Holiday break is guaranteed for off-work pleasure.
• (5) Other benefits: Subsidy for meals at the university canteen is offered.

Qualifications

• Native English speaker
• Master’s degree as the minimum education requirement
• TEFL teaching certificate is preferred

Your responsibilities

• 16 teaching hours per week as requested workload
• Teaching courses, including Oral English, English Pronunciation, English Discourse and Communication; Introduction to English Speaking Countries; Comparison of Eastern and Western Culture; Public speaking; and other relevant courses to undergraduates.
