Specific Requirements
The selected candidate must have a background in ecology and forest management, as well as experience with dendrochronological data acquisition and analysis. Skills in spatial analysis technologies (LIDAR, GIS), statistical modelling, data analysis, and multisource data integration will be considered an asset.
The position requires teamwork skills, adaptability, and experience in the management and implementation of research projects and knowledge-transfer activities. Proficiency in English will be valued.

Amount: 2.296,56 € gross, monthly including the prorated share of extra payments
Duties and responsibilities:
The hired person will join the working group coordinated by Reyes Alejano and Javier Vázquez Piqué, members of the Research Group RNM 315, with the aim of carrying out the tasks required for the implementation of the self funded project EPIT24122026 "Resilience and Regeneration in Mediterranean Pine Forests under Global Change." The person will collaborate in data collection, sample preparation, and data analysis in forests of Pinus canariensis, Pinus pinea, and Pinus pinaster. They will also contribute to activities related to the dissemination and transfer of the research results. In this regard, among other functions, they may carry out the following:
- Collection of dendrometric and dendrochronological data, growth measurements, sample processing, germination and viability tests, and other field and laboratory tasks within the project.
- Development of an internal communication and data management platform for the project.
- Statistical analysis and processing of project related data.
- Participation in the preparation of project reports and scientifical or technical reports or outreach documents derived from its implementation.
- Organization of and participation in physical or virtual events and meetings related to the project.
- Organization, coordination, and participation in team travel for fieldwork or for activities related to the dissemination of results.
- Collaboration in any activity related to the implementation of the project or in associated knowledge-transfer actions.

- ACADEMIC BACKGROUND (PhD in Forest Engineering or equivalent, Master's Degree including Dendrochronology or Forest adaptation to climate change) – Will be assessed with a maximum of 2 points.
- PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN THE FIELD OF FORESTRY– Will be assessed with a maximum of 1 points.
- ENGLISH, CONVERSATION LEVEL IN THE INTERVIEW. 1 point
- RESEARCH EXPERIENCE – Will be assessed with a maximum of 4 points, including the ability to manage the technologies and data described in the profile.
- PERSONAL INTERVIEW– Will be assessed with a maximum of 2 points (The interview will assess the candidate's professional and interpersonal competencies, with particular emphasis on their ability to work effectivelyas part of a team and integrate into a research group, initiative and autonomy, flexibility and adaptability, communication and problem solving skills, as well as their motivation and overall suitability for the position and the ability to speak fluently in english)
