Job Summary: As a University Lecturer in Navigation at the Faculty of Military Sciences, you will serve as the technical-scientific partner for officers and civilian colleagues in Defense. This involves providing education in bachelor and master programs, coaching colleagues in promotion trajectories, and developing knowledge with partners to address field needs.

Responsibilities: Deliver teaching in your expertise area, including general courses and project-based education; guide student groups; take on administrative tasks such as roles in education committees; conduct research focused on Defense-relevant issues; collaborate with institutions like TNO, MARIN, NLR, and universities; translate field questions into research and development projects; and integrate research findings back into education.

Qualifications and Requirements: Hold a PhD or be nearly completed in a relevant technical-scientific field; have experience in teaching and research related to position determination and/or navigation; preferably have participated in research projects; be willing to build a network to improve education and initiate projects; work independently and entrepreneurially; communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in both oral and written Dutch; and possess structured, decisive work habits. Knowledge of Defense is preferred but not required, and fluency in Dutch is essential.

What the Employer Offers: Salary scale 12 ranging from €5,748 to €7,427 gross per month based on a 38-hour workweek; a temporary appointment of 6 months with potential for a permanent position; a 38-hour workweek; and benefits including the Individual Choice Budget (IKB) totaling 16.33% of salary, which can be used for various purposes such as time off, fiscal facilities, or items like a bicycle or computer.
