Offer Description
A person who meets the conditions specified in the Act of 20 July 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and § 64 of the Statute of Akademia Tarnowska (UAS) may apply for the position of senior lecturer (f/m) in the group of teaching staff.
I. Contest requirements
A candidate for the position of senior lecturer (m/f) in the research and teaching staff is required to:
- have completed studies in a technical field: electrical engineering or automation and electrical engineering or related;
- hold at least a professional degree of Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent;
- have experience in teaching: basics of electrical engineering, circuit theory, basics of electronics, metrology, measurement systems, technological measurements;
- have a valid qualification certificate authorizing him/her to operate devices, installations and networks at the operating position;
- submit a declaration that Akademia Tarnowska will be their primary place of work in the event of winning the contest;
- be fluent in Polish (candidates whose native language is not Polish should confirm their fluency of the language at the C1 level with an official certificate).
Akademia Tarnowska/University of Applied Sciences in Tarnów does not provide accommodation.
II. Candidates should submit the following documents
- Application for employment covered by the contest and addressed to the Rector.
- The application shall include the following declaration: “I agree to the processing of my personal data included in my job offer for the purposes necessary for the recruitment process in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the free movement of such data and repealing 95/46/EC Directive (General Data Protection Regulation)) with a view to conducting a contest procedure by Akademia Tarnowska/University of Applied Sciences in Tarnów.”
- Personal data questionnaire.
- Photocopies of documents confirming professional qualifications.
- List of the candidate's scientific achievements.
- Declaration that Akademia Tarnowska (University of Applied Sciences in Tarnów) will or will not be their primary employer within the meaning of the Act on Higher Education.
- Information on the intention to perform additional employment.
- Information on the processing of personal data.
- Declaration and certificate of the candidate's clean criminal record.
- Declaration of familiarization with the procedure for violations of law.

III. Additional information
Working hours: full-time

Type of employment contract: fixed-term
Scientific discipline: automation, electronics, electrical engineering and space technologies
Salary: The remuneration for work as a senior lecturer will be no less than 50% of the minimum monthly base salary for a professor at a public university, which is calculated from PLN 9,650 gross. The employee is entitled to a seniority allowance, depending on the length of service, ranging from 3% to 20% of the base salary, as well as variable remuneration components specified in the Remuneration Regulations for AT Employees (https://bip.atar.edu.pl/zarzadzenie/z-34-2023).
IV. Place and deadline for submitting documents
Applications (in a sealed envelope, with the following note: "Numer konkursu: PRNR.WNT-1101.3/2026") should be submitted to Sekretariat Prorektora ds. Nauki i Rozwoju (room A116) of Akademia Tarnowska, ul. Mickiewicza 8, 33-100 Tarnów.
Applications should be submitted until 1st October, 2026.
The expected date of the settlement of the contest is 2nd October, 2026.
V. The Contest Committee wishes to inform that
The decision will be announced immediately after the contest has been settled on the BIP website of Akademia Tarnowska/University of Applied Sciences in Tarnów and Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The Rector reserves the right not to employ the candidate selected by the Committee.
All documents shall be signed by the candidate.
