Full-time Research Officer in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 537624)
Applications are invited for a unique opportunity to work as a Research Officer in the Faculty of Education. The successful candidate will be involved in a specific research project related to swallowing management in older adults.
Applicants should:
- hold a doctoral or master’s degree, preferably in science in speech-language pathology
- have at least three years of relevant post-qualification research experience
- be a qualified Speech Language Pathologist in Hong Kong
- have experience in the elderly clinical setting preferably
- have an excellent academic background
- work independently in a multidisciplinary team and with external parties including social service groups
- be responsible, organized, self-motivated, hardworking and able to multi-tasking
- be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese preferred)
- possess good interpersonal and communication skills
Job Duty:
- Coordinate research design and planning
- Overall supervision of project implementation
- Develop and conduct community-based swallowing interventions
- Facilitate data collection, data monitoring and data interpretation
- Write and submit scientific publications and reports
- Supervise research staff members and provide staff training
- Prepare documents for external funding related to swallowing research
- Perform other duties as assigned
The appointment will commence on 1 December 2026 and end on 31 August 2027. The position is on a 9-month temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
