The Opportunity

The University of Newcastle Research Excellence Fellowships aims to attract, support and empower world-class researchers.

This prestigious program will accelerate innovation, collaboration and excellence by welcoming Fellows into strong research teams with demonstrated ability to nurture the next generation of research leaders and deliver outcomes that matter.

The University will offer up to six (6) Research Excellence Fellowships to join one of our world-class research environments.

About the Role

The Fellowship includes a Level B-D academic salary for four years, with the fourth year subject to performance, and a one off $50,000 in start-up funding. There is an expectation that the Fellows must submit competitive fellowship applications within the first 12-18 months in the role.

About the Reproductive and Family Health Program

Our research addresses global challenges in fertility, pregnancy, child health and women’s health. Here, you’ll collaborate with fundamental scientists, clinicians, public health researchers, consumers, policymakers and industry partners to accelerate the development of innovations that impact research, policy and clinical practice.
