The successful candidate will join the Department of Biology at the University of York, as well as a wider project team working on intergroup conflict in animal societies on this ERC Advanced Grant (UKRI-funded). They will also visit the field site in Uganda to gain familiarity with study methods, group identification, and the ecological context of the system.
