Courses should be taught in German and English. Responsibilities will also include supervising students in the preparation of their theses.

Research should be conducted in a current area of molecular inorganic chemistry, preferably in the field of catalysis based on organometallic or coordination compounds, with a particular focus on the principles of green chemistry, including the development of sustainable, resource- and energy-saving chemical processes.

The research area should integrate well into the collaborative projects based in Berlin, thereby enabling broad cooperation.

Further responsibilities include managing and leading the department and its staff, promoting young scientists, women, and social diversity, knowledge and technology transfer, internationalization initiatives, gender- and diversity-competent and sustainability-oriented action, and committee and commission work.

). We are seeking a scientist with an independent, internationally visible profile in an experimental field of green chemistry, who will represent this subject in research and teaching. Competence in the field of synthesis strategies for inorganic molecules and their application in sustainable processes, e.g., in catalysis or the conversion or storage of energy, is a key qualification. The willingness and ability to engage in interdisciplinary research, e.g., between theory and experiment, as well as in technology transfer measures is required. A research focus on purely process-oriented Technical Chemistry. Groundbreaking research results in the field of synthesis and structural characterization of inorganic molecules, as well as their use in sustainable chemical processes, must be demonstrated through relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals. High research activity must be demonstrated through strong third-party funding acquisition (documented by funding acquisitions in the last five years). The professorship is expected to actively contribute to the further development of Berlin's integrated research area. Relevant teaching experience and experience in supervising theses and doctoral theses are desirable. Furthermore, experience in academic self-administration and in leading larger research groups is desirable.
