University Program Specialist (Graduation Navigator)
Primary Purpose of the Position
The Graduation Navigator is responsible for assisting students in all aspects of graduation. This position assists students with navigating the university's academic policies, which will increase retention and graduation rates. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, individual advising sessions, assisting students with declaring and changing majors, academic progress discussions, development of academic goals, and directing students to campus resources to support academic success. This position works with departments within the academic affairs and student affairs divisions, including admissions, financial aid, registrar, counseling center, student engagement, and department chairs. The Graduation Navigator is required to know about all undergraduate university programs. The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of university academic policies and can recommend appropriate course substitutions or adjustments for every undergraduate degree program. The Graduation Navigator will meet regularly with department chairs to remain knowledgeable of program requirements and any program changes. The Graduation Navigator will work with the Director of the Bronco One Stop and the Executive Director for Adult Learners, Transfer, and Military Students to develop programs and practices that will identify and correct challenges to degree completion.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

- Excellent understanding and operational abilities with budget processes.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, with the ability to learn new or updated software.
- Self-motivated and adaptable.
- Friendly and helpful.
- Excellent time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Community College/University experience.
