The International Max Planck Research School on Cognitive NeuroImaging invites excellent students holding a master's degree or equivalent to pursue a PhD in Cognitive Neuroimaging. It covers cognitive neuroscience, clinical and translational neuroscience, and neuroimaging, involving institutions like the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, Leipzig University, TU Dresden, and University College London.
Applications are accepted from September 12 to November 2, 2025. The deadline is November 2, 2025, with virtual interviews in January 2026 and the program starting in October 2026.
Applicants should have an excellent master's degree in fields such as cognitive neuroscience, psychology, medicine, or related areas, with research experience and proficiency in English. The program offers a 3-year structured PhD with access to advanced facilities like 7T MRI and MEG systems.
Research is organized into modules: Cognitive Neuroscience, Clinical and Translational Neuroscience, and Development of Neuroimaging and Modelling Methods. The educational program includes hybrid teaching, flipped classrooms, and Open Science emphasis, tailored via individual development plans.
Funding is available through contracts at 65% of TVöD pay group 13 (around €40,500 gross annually). The position is in Leipzig, Germany.
