User Researcher, 6-Month FTC

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is the UK’s independent quality body for tertiary education, ensuring students experience the highest quality of education. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract role.

About the role: Reporting to the Head of Product, you will lead discovery and Jobs to be Done (JTBD) research to uncover insights that drive better products and services. You will design and deliver research across the product lifecycle, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, and translate findings into actionable outcomes. You will also contribute to building internal research capability by developing tools, templates, and guidance.

This role offers remote working within the UK, with 35 hours per week and flexible working available.

About you: We seek someone experienced in qualitative and quantitative research methods, skilled in uncovering user needs and using JTBD frameworks and user-centred design. Familiarity with learning or knowledge management systems (LMS/KMS) is advantageous. If you are passionate about turning user insights into impact, apply now.
