SALARY:

$27.20 - $33.25 per hour. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assist in or coordinate the planning and decision-making for maintaining the safety, utility and appearance of RVU Utah.
• Performs preventive maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and control systems and related components.
• Assist in creating a schedule of regular evaluations of the facility, and regular maintenance.
• Oversees and makes recommendations for improvements and modifications associated with the custodial contract and staff.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC and Lighting Management Systems, including scheduling of their use, with assistance from the Facilities and Grounds Technician.
• Assists the Manager and all technicians in developing and maintaining a plan for 24-7 coverage relating to building usage, custodial, grounds, maintenance, safety and emergencies.
• Ensure operation, and upkeep to vehicles and equipment owned by RVU.
• Assist all technicians in the usage of facilities by RVU Utah personnel/groups and organizations within the university: set-ups, take-downs, and clean-up.
• Identifies repair and maintenance projects requiring the assistance of contractors or vendors while participating in the estimates and evaluations of project costs, monitors work of vendors or contractors to assure compliance with facility maintenance standards.
• Monitors inventory, orders supplies, maintains records and logs of daily activity.
• Maintain a broad working knowledge of materials, systems and code requirements related to RVU facilities.
• Provide training of Facilities and Grounds staff during weekly planning meetings.

Qualifications

• Assist administration, faculty and staff in special projects as needed under the direction of the Manager.
• Continue education programs through HVAC and electrical vendors, keeping RVU Utah up to code standards related to electrical needs.
