The University of Washington Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and Seattle Children’s Hospital have an outstanding opportunity for a full-time pediatric orthopaedic surgeon to specialize in pediatric sports medicine. This position includes an academic appointment in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at the University of Washington. The appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank, dependent upon qualifications and both without tenure (WOT). The majority of School of Medicine faculty hired in the professorial track are hired under the WOT designation. This new recruit will work with the current team to further develop the clinical, programmatic and academic vision for the sports program, which has been designated a growth area for Seattle Children's Hospital.

Other responsibilities will include resident and fellow education, medical student teaching, and the development of a busy clinical practice. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to develop a robust program in clinical, education methodologies or basic science research. The successful candidate will be expected to provide excellent clinical care encompassing a broad spectrum of pediatric sports medicine surgery with a high degree of professionalism
