Position Summary

The Cancer Cytogenetics Laboratory in the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology is looking for an individual with experience in cancer cytogenetics for a part-time temporary position starting immediately. This individual will be expected to perform karyotype and FISH analysis and/or wet lab bench work.

Responsibilities

• 50% - Sample processing from set up to slide preparation.
• 45% - Perform chromosome analysis and FISH analysis on hematologic and paraffin-embedded tissue cancer specimens.
• 5% - Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a biological science
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Dept of Education
