Variable Hours Officer

Position Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director of NCDP at Columbia University, the Variable Hours Officer will support digital communications efforts for NCDP, including the NCDP website, project-specific sites, and social media content as approved by the NCDP Managing Director. Effort will be on an as-needed basis for regular maintenance and updates, as well as for periods of increased activity with new project initiatives, publication promotion, and events.  

Responsibilities

• Maintain NCDP’s WordPress website and social media presence.
• Support project programs and outreach activities through email campaigns, flyers, postcards, graphics, presentations, 508-compliance, and other activities as determined.
• Provide communication support and direction for NCDP’s programs and services, as determined.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent related experience required (Marketing, Communication, Public Administration).
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree, digital media, communications, and emergency management, with previous experience.
