Class Description
: The purpose of this class is to work with veterans and military-connected students to enrich the Center of Excellence for Veteran Student Success. To serve as a single point of contact to coordinate comprehensive support services for veteran students. This is a grant funded position.
Minimum Requirements
: Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred. Three (3) years of experience in a veteran support or management role at an educational institution is required (Prior experience serving in the military is preferred). An understanding of VA benefits and services and how they are administered and managed to ensure institutional compliance; working knowledge of the requirements set forth in the Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2017 (Forever G.I.Bill) is required. Preferred experience in navigating and communicating with veterans administration offices, state, or federal.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
