Veterinary Anatomic Pathology
Position Overview
The Department of Veterinary Science (Faculty of Science and Environmental Studies), Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured appointment with expertise in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology, with an anticipated start date of Fall 2026 or January 1 2027.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent veterinary degree, in addition to advanced training in veterinary anatomic pathology, board certification or eligibility for board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP), or European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP). Eligibility for licensure in Ontario is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree and have experience teaching veterinary anatomic pathology. Other preferred qualifications include demonstrated potential to establish a competitive independent or collaborative research program.
Responsibilities
This position includes teaching responsibilities in anatomic pathology. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of the accredited veterinary curriculum within the CDVMP at Lakehead University’s Thunder Bay campus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing an independent, externally funded research program, supervision of graduate students, and pursuit of external funding.
