Job Description: Veterinary Assistants support all functions of the CVM and DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center, including animal care and support for laboratory sessions

Job Duties:
- Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large
- promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students
- assist the designated faculty to provide clinical and lab experiences for students in an efficient, professional, and authoritative manner
- assist with preparation for laboratories including organization of resources, including faculty, animals, student groups, equipment for laboratory, and consumables for laboratories
- assist with lab clean up
- assist with handling, maintenance, monitoring, and treatment of the animals housed at the DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center
- ensure that all OSHA and USDA guidelines are implemented in student clinical student activities;
- comply with all IACUC guidelines
- maintain adequate records for animals
- maintain a current inventory of materials and equipment used in labs
- other duties as assigned
