About the organisation

For over 23 years, AEMG has been a trusted partner in developing joint education institutes and programs between Chinese and global universities, helping thousands of Chinese students to access world-class international education. The Australia Institute of Future Education (AIFE) is a fully accredited higher education provider dedicated to advancing excellence in transnational education and will from 2026 be the provider and partner delivering teaching and learning into these institutes and programs. AIFE already offers Graduate Certificates in Global Education and Research Practice for Scientists and Engineers. These courses are designed to support Chinese academics and PhD candidates to improve their professional skills in designing and teaching courses in higher education, and to enhance professional research skills in a global context.

About the role

In this newly created position, the Vice President, Asia will provide strategic oversight and executive leadership for AIFE’s activities across the Asian region. As a senior leader within AIFE’s global Business Development & Engagement function, the appointee will be responsible for strengthening AIFE’s academic partnerships, supporting transnational education initiatives, and driving growth aligned with AIFE’s global strategy. Reporting to AIFE’s President and working closely with and other executive leaders, as a key institutional representative with partners, the appointee will oversee the implementation of regional strategies, foster strong partner relationships and ensure delivery of high-quality academic programs across Asia. This includes responsibility for managing performance, quality, risk and compliance.

About you

You are a highly regarded and credentialled higher education leader with a considerable track record in developing productive and enduring partnerships in support of organisational ambitions. Through your extensive international or transnational education experience, you have developed deep insights into Asian tertiary education systems, frameworks and regulatory environments. Your well-honed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, and high level of cross-cultural competence, will see you succeed in this impactful position. Based in Beijing, or willing to spend considerable periods of time in Beijing on a fly-in-fly-out basis, you are comfortable travelling frequently across Asia and internationally as required. Fluency in Mandarin will be highly regarded.
