Waynesburg University, in partnership with the national search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and innovative enrollment leader to join a mission-driven institution with a strong reputation for value, student success, and service. Reporting directly to the President and providing leadership for the Admissions Office staff, Financial Aid, and Marketing, the Vice President for Enrollment Management will play a pivotal role in shaping the University's enrollment future, leading undergraduate enrollment efforts while providing consultation and advice to graduate enrollment initiatives. The Vice President will also develop and execute data-informed enrollment strategies that advance institutional growth, student success, and mission fulfillment through visionary, strategic, and operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment management strategy aligned with institutional goals.
- Lead multi-year strategic enrollment planning, including new student, transfer, adult, and online markets.
- Utilize market research and predictive analytics to inform recruitment strategies and territory management.
- Establish annual enrollment targets and performance benchmarks.
- Conduct predictive analytics and statistical analysis of recruiting and enrollment trends, development of strategic enrollment plan, and implementation and evaluation of enrollment goals.
- Collaborate with Chief Financial Officer to align discount strategy, scholarship modeling, and financial aid to meet enrollment goals.
- Provide regular enrollment forecasts and reports to senior leadership and others as required.
- Manage all enrollment related vendor-colleagues and their associated contracts.
Recruitment & Admissions
- Oversee undergraduate operations.
- Supervise recruitment staff, admissions counselors, and support personnel.
- Establish and/or strengthen relationships with high schools, churches, community colleges, Christian schools, homeschool associations and other various recruitment sources.
- Lead development of recruitment travel strategies, visit programs, and yield initiatives.
- Ensure excellence in campus visit experiences and prospective student engagement.
Financial Aid
- Oversee undergraduate Financial Aid.
- Supervise financial aid staff.
- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to establish annual discount goals.
Marketing & Communications
- Lead the University's enrollment marketing efforts.
- Supervise enrollment marketing personnel.
- Partner with University Relations to develop institutional branding strategies and communications initiatives.
- Develop messaging that reflects both academic quality and University mission.
- Evaluate effectiveness of digital advertising, CRM systems, and enrollment technologies.
Data & Systems Oversight
- Oversee CRM utilization (Slate) data integrity, and enrollment reporting systems.
- Analyze enrollment funnel metrics (inquiries, applications, admits, deposits, yield).
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Recruit, train, develop, and supervise enrollment staff.
- Promote professional development and accountability.
- Foster a service-oriented enrollment culture.
- Encourage collaboration across the University's academic and administrative functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in a relevant discipline (higher education administration, business, marketing, or related field) preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of achievement in supervising an enrollment management function within the higher education landscape.
- Extensive knowledge of strategies to grow enrollment.
- Valid driver's license.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated success in achieving enrollment growth targets.
- Experience supervising professional staff and managing budgets.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Practical expertise in software packages and CRM technologies used to efficiently manage student information.
- Ability to develop Strategic Enrollment Plans (SEP).
- Proven ability to effectively work with a diverse student population.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)
- Personal commitment to the Christian faith and ability to articulate support for the University's mission.
