Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary
The Vice President for Finance serves as the college’s Chief Financial Officer, reports to the Chief Operating Officer, and is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. This leader provides strategic direction and hands-on management of the college’s financial health—aligning fiscal resources with mission and long-term institutional priorities. The VP for Finance partners closely with trustees, cabinet colleagues and campus departments to strengthen the college’s sustainability, advance strategic initiatives and uphold the highest standards of financial stewardship and Christian integrity.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
- Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in financial leadership, preferably in higher education or nonprofit settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in integrated strategic planning, budgeting, financial management and business operations.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills with experience engaging trustees and senior leaders.
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of a Christian institution of higher education.
- CPA, MBA or master’s degree in finance, business or higher-education administration, preferred.
- Experience with endowment and investment management, capital financing and ERP/financial systems modernization, preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams, streamline processes and foster cross-campus collaboration.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a mature Christian faith, high ethical standards and a servant-leadership approach that models humility, wisdom and collaboration.
Compensation and Benefits
Expected hiring salary range is $160,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience and the scope of responsibilities. The College offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement contributions, tuition benefits and generous paid time off.
