Samford University is a national, comprehensive, residential, Christ-centered university located in Homewood, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham. Founded in 1841, Samford has held fast to its mission to nurture students' intellect, creativity, faith, and personhood and to invite students to the intersection of Christian faith and learning.

Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President for Student Affairs serves as the chief student life officer of the University. Strategic, relational, innovative, and deeply grounded in the gospel, this executive will play a pivotal role in advancing a world-class student experience informed and inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus at a time of historic growth and investment at Samford. The new vice president will embody and champion Samford's mission, values, and vision, ensuring that the student affairs division remains a place where faith, learning, service, and community are intentionally prioritized and integrated into student programs, traditions, events, and resources.
