The English Department at Williams College invites applications for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor position in fiction writing, to begin Fall 2027, with the possibility of renewal for one additional year. Candidates should have a graduate degree or a strong publication record, and should demonstrate excellence and innovation in teaching fiction. Williams College is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community. Teaching responsibilities include two courses per term. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach introductory and advanced fiction workshops and courses on literature, direct student theses in creative writing, and participate in running the reading series.
