Position Description
The Asian Studies Program invites applications for a one-year visiting position in Korean Studies beginning fall of 2026. The candidate will be expected to teach between three to five courses per academic year distributed through a range of courses in the scholar’s disciplinary specialization as relevant to Korea and Asian Studies generally (all in-person). Specific responsibilities will include AS 251 Contemporary Korean Culture as well as a combination of courses in the preferred discipline and/or participation in the College’s first-year seminar series. The position is based on a 3-5 annual course load, Benefits eligible and fully funded through the Lewis & Clark College Korean Studies Fund.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should demonstrate evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level. A Ph.D. at the time of appointment is strongly preferred.
