Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor - Information Systems
Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor positions to teach full-time, in-person load of Introductory Information Systems or Introductory Programming/Computational Thinking courses. Appointment will start Fall of 2026.
If hired to teach the Computational Thinking, the course is part of the required First-Year Integrated Core (FYIC) curriculum for all Farmer School of Business majors. The FYIC is a four-course block that teaches students critical skills such as critical, creative, computational & ethical thinking as well as coding, communication, and collaboration. As a FYIC teacher, you will be a part of a faculty who work together as a team to integrate these key skills across all four FYIC classes (Foundations of Business; Foundations of Business Communication; Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial Thinking; and Introduction to Computational Thinking for Business). Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Ph.D. in Information Systems or related field by date of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor; Master’s degree in Information Systems or related field and industry experience by date of appointment for appointment as Instructor.
Consideration may be given to applicants that have demonstrated teaching effectiveness; business experience in Information Systems; graduate degree from a business school; willingness and ability to teach introductory courses in Information Systems or programming/computational thinking to business students.
