POSITION SUMMARY
The Psychology department in the Faculty of Arts & Sciences at Willamette University welcomes applications for an appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology, to begin in August 2026. This is a one-year position, although renewals are possible for up to three years.
We seek a colleague with deep enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching in the context of a small, private, academically rigorous liberal arts college. The successful candidate will teach three classes per semester, a mixture of PSYC210: Introduction to Psychology and 300-level courses in their area of specialty. Individuals with expertise in any psychological subdiscipline are encouraged to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD or advanced graduate school standing.
- ABD with teaching experience considered.
- Must be able to reside in or primarily work in Oregon by the first day of employment.
Typical Work Schedule: Classes typically meet two to three times per week, for a total of 180 minutes a week. This is an in-person teaching position.
Salary: $48,000 - $54,000 depending on education and experience
