Essential Functions
The University of Nebraska at Omaha seeks a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor for a one-year appointment to begin August 17, 2026. This position may be renewable. Four courses per semester (eight courses per academic year) with opportunity for upper-level undergraduate teaching. AOS : Open but must demonstrate a strong ability to teach Ethics, including normative ethics and ethical theory. AOC : Open but a record of research or teaching in the Philosophy of Technology, Machine Intelligence, or Applied sciences is desirable. Excellence in teaching is essential. Required qualification: M. A. in Philosophy or equivalent (defined as a minimum of 18 graduate coursework credit hours in Philosophy and ABD status in a Philosophy graduate program).
