Visiting Faculty/Teaching Position at Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences

Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences (CUAS), in partnership with the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), is seeking visiting professors or instructors to teach in its “Mathematics and Applied Mathematics” bachelor’s degree program for the fall 2026 semester.

Key Details

• Role: Visiting Professor/Instructor
• Location: Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences (CUAS), China. On-site teaching is preferred.
• Courses: The position involves teaching one of seven listed mathematics or statistics courses, including Complex Variables, Intermediate Analysis, and Probability and Statistics.
• Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required. Tenured or tenure-track faculty are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 64 hours of instruction in English, adhering to the curriculum jointly developed by CUAS and UNCW.
• Provide all necessary teaching materials, including lecture notes and tests.
• Maintain a teaching environment free of political or religious content.
• Deliver at least three hours of seminars on your research to students and faculty.
• A co-teacher from CUAS will assist with some lectures, grading, and administrative tasks.

Compensation and Application

• Salary: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
• Travel and Housing: For on-site teaching, CUAS will provide an on-campus apartment and reimburse airfare from your home city to Chongqing.
