Visiting Professor Position, Virology
St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Cayman Islands is looking for a visiting professor who is passionate about teaching Virology. The ideal candidate possesses a DVM/VMD/BVSc, and/or PhD in Virology and is preferably board eligible or board certified by the American College Veterinary Microbiologists.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach the Virology course by teaching lectures once per semester (three times per year), which would require a combination of remote and in person (in Grand Cayman, travel reimbursed) teaching. The course is a three-credit course in the third semester of the DVM program.
The Cayman Islands only a one-hour plane ride to Miami, are a British Overseas Territory and offer a first-world lifestyle. Visiting Grand Cayman to teach means you can enjoy year-long warm weather, one of the best beaches in the world, many of the best restaurants in the Caribbean and experience incredible snorkelling and diving opportunities.
Send your applications (Cover letter, CV and one reference with contact details) or any enquiries by email to Dr. Samantha Shields (sshields@stmatthews.edu), Dean, Veterinary School.
