Visiting Scholar Fellowship in Jewish Studies
The Jewish Studies Program at Boston College invites applicants for a Visiting Scholar Fellowship in Jewish Studies. The fellowship is for a one-week residency during the Spring 2026 semester, the exact dates of which will be determined in consultation with the fellow. During their time at Boston College, the fellow will present their research in a public lecture and separately join two class sessions of Jewish Studies courses at the university. Fellows will also have opportunities to meet with faculty and students informally. $3000 will be provided as a stipend, along with a meal allowance. Fellows will be responsible for their own travel, housing, and insurance. Fellows will be provided with office space, computer, printer, and library privileges.
Jewish Studies at Boston College is an interdisciplinary program of the Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences. Faculty in Jewish Studies hail from the departments of Theology; Communication; Eastern, Slavic, and German Studies; Art, Art History, and Film; Political Science; English; and Theater. The selection committee consists of faculty and undergraduates.
Qualifications: Since Boston College is well served in the area of Christian-Jewish relations, we would like to complement those strengths by accepting applications in other fields of Jewish studies. We welcome applications from senior and early career scholars as well as advanced doctoral students and independent scholars.
